Ongoing Events

Join Brian Fitch, Dominik Mosur and Charlie Hibbard on a Golden Gate Audubon Society sponsored bird walk on Corona Heights on the third Friday of every month.  30-40 species of birds are usually seen on these walks, in addition to awesome displays of California native wildflowers.  Meet at 8 a.m. in front of the museum main entrance.  For more information, contact Dominik Mosur at, or call (415) 554-9605.

Ongoing, usually held last Saturday of each month 10 amnoon.  Ages 10 & up, under 14 with an adult.

Free!  No pre-registration necessary. Enjoy spectacular views of the City and the Bay and great camaraderie as you help us plant native plants, remove invasive weeds, maintain trails, and more to help wildlife and humans coexist on our rocky hill.  Wear sturdy shoes and layers.  Disposable gloves and necessary tools are provided; you may also wish to bring your own work gloves.

First-time volunteers please call the Natural Areas Program at 415-552-3542 at least one week in advance for further instructions.  Hours worked can count toward school community service requirements.
